Mrs. Mary Jo Whitley discusses her early life and family and tells about how she met Dr. Thomas Y. Whitley at a dance at the University of Georgia. She discusses Dr. Whitley's tenure as president, the president's home on campus, and the many guests who visited that home. Tom Whitley, Jr. also makes several comments including the fact that his father was the "perfect person for the job."

Dr. and Mrs. Whitley had four children; Mrs. Whitley said she was very involved with raising her children during the thirteen years Dr. Whitley was president of Columbus College. ...
